Viewing items: Lots can be viewed in person Sundays 9am-1pm and Monday from 9am. You can buy a catalogue for £1 and ask for advice about lots or any of our services. Condition reports are available on request, if you cannot make it to the sale. All images of lots are in our gallery and on the-saleroom website.
In person: You must register with the office and obtain a paddle number by leaving a £10 refundable deposit.
Bid Online: Weekly online sales all our lots are advertised with Antiques trade gazette’s online website the-saleroom.com, if you register with them you can listen to the auction live and bid online, there is an additional 3% added to the buyers premium (from 1st November 2018 online premium will increase to 4.95%)
Pre-bid/ commission: If you cannot be present at the auction, leave your maximum amount and the auctioneer will bid on your behalf. the office can bid on your behalf.
Phone bid: Leave the office your contact detail and they will call you when the lot comes up, and you can bid from the comfort of your own home or work.
Email: firstname.lastname@example.org, just attached your name, address and contact details for the bid to be valid, by 1pm on the sale day (Monday).
Buyer’s premium: 15% plus VAT on the hammer price, a minimum commission of £3 plus VAT on any lot £10 or less. 30% deposit paid on auction night, on uncleared goods.
Payments: Cash, debit/ credit cards and bank transfers, subject to auctioneer’s discretion.
Clearing lots: Items purchased must be cleared by WEDNESDAY following the sale, before 5pm. The auctioneer reserves the right to charge storage of £2.50 per day per lot.
